Welcome to Šahy's jazz concerts website!
The concerts are taking place in a small town called Šahy with its 8000 inhabitants. It is located in the south of Slovakia on the border with Hungary. People here grow up in a bilingual environment of a small-town with its civil traditions, influenced by miscellaneous cultures. This might be the reason for taking over different art forms without limits.
Jazz concerts in Šahy have already been organized for several years, especially with the support of Mr. Peter Hunčík´s found honorable civil of Šahy): Sigillum Oppidi Saag as well as enthusiasm and effort of Mr. Pavel Makovínyi, organizer. His work has been rewarded by Award of Šahy in 2003. Permanent partners and sponsors are the Culture Center of Šahy, hotel Villa Romaine, Bovi Restaurant, Pergamen, Cameron center (cinema), Albrecht Friebe etc.
We believe that the enthusiasm of the organizers will last for years and will be accompanied by many others. I hope our memories as well as this site will be filled with growing number of concerts.
